Bright Trace

From April 3 to June 30, 2026, Kaoru Tanaka's screen contextualized work Bright Trace was exhibited on the LED cube at Tamagawa Takashimaya S.C.

The piece is an abstract generative artwork themed around the light atmosphere of spring, evoking images of petals and trails of light. On the screen, petals flow as if swaying in the wind, while abstract human flows are superimposed on the light trails. The movements intersect with energetic yet irregular changes, suggesting chance encounters and fleeting connections within the city. The composition emphasizes a soft harmony created by overlapping diverse motions and colors.

The work also expresses a sense of openness when looking up at the sky through changes in camera perspective, as well as the feeling of being enveloped in spring light, offering viewers an experience that overlays seasonal transition with urban scenes. TouchDesigner was used in the production, enabling delicate visual expression through digital technology.
