From October 19 to 27, 2024, the group exhibition "Foot Foot" was held at JR Elevated Space No.32 in Otemachi. The exhibition featured works by three digital artists with backgrounds in commercial design: JACKSON kaki, Ami of ZOO, and Kazuhiro Aihara. The venue is located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, and admission was free.
The exhibition explored creativity beyond the conventional boundaries of design by utilizing technology as a new material. It focused on perspectives that differ from traditional values such as correctness, order, and efficiency, investigating the possibilities of expression through technology. The title "Foot Foot" is derived from the 1969 song "My Pal Foot Foot" by the three-member rock band THE SHAGGS, reflecting themes of intersecting viewpoints, bodily rebellion, and spatial inversion to pursue unknown resonances and the "outsider" aspects of technological expression.
At the venue, each of the three artists examined the relationship between technology and corporeality through diverse works employing digital techniques. The exhibition was part of DESIGNART TOKYO 2024, an urban design and art festival that integrates design and art across the city of Tokyo, serving as a platform to showcase this fusion.
