In August 2025, a series of generative artworks created during the "Open Cube" workshop were displayed on three large LED cubes installed on the south facade of Tamagawa Takashimaya S.C. The workshop took place on August 11 and 17, with participant-created works showcased on the LED cubes from August 17 to 31.
As part of a major exterior renovation, Tamagawa Takashimaya S.C. introduced LED cubes measuring up to six meters square, designed by the architecture and design firm NOIZ. The removal of existing louvers opened the atrium space to the city, enhancing the facility's role as a hub connecting the east and west sides of the Futako-Tamagawa area.
The LED cubes on the south facade feature generative art by Shunsuke Takawo, known for "Generativemasks," alongside the works produced by workshop participants presented in a playlist format. This project combined the facility's new architectural expression with participatory digital art experiences, contributing to the identity of Tamagawa Takashimaya S.C. as a local landmark.
