From February 13 to 15, 2026, "SCREENS CONTEXTUALIZED," the official program of DIG SHIBUYA 2026, was held across 44 digital signage screens installed at 10 locations within Shibuya Ward. On February 14, a large-scale projection work titled "Kotono Hanabi" by Toshiki Okamoto was screened on the wall of Shibuya PARCO, illuminating the night cityscape with a dreamlike atmosphere.

This project sought to redefine Shibuya's digital signage from mere commercial advertising media into a platform for cultural expression. Works by eight curatorial artists and 34 domestic and international digital artists selected through an open call were created and exhibited in accordance with the installation sites and urban contexts of each signage. The initiative aimed to introduce a cultural and sustainable temporal dimension into the urban space, distinct from the flow of commercial information.

Exhibitions took place at diverse locations including major commercial facilities such as MIYASHITA PARK, Shibuya Hikarie, and Seibu Shibuya. Notably, at MIYASHITA PARK VISION, 34 works chosen from 324 submissions worldwide were screened from February 9 to 22 as part of the open call program "Weather Writes." Additionally, within MIYASHITA PARK, a hub exhibition titled "Park in Park" was established to allow viewers to experience the dispersed works collectively, accompanied by explanations of the historical backgrounds and urban contexts of each installation site.

Positioned as an experimental cultural program exploring new possibilities for digital signage in urban spaces, the project aimed to create sustainable cultural value through the fusion of art and technology in the city of Shibuya.
