From December 2, 2025, to January 4, 2026, Murata Minori's work Aromance was exhibited on the LED cube at Tamagawa Takashimaya S.C. The piece depicts irresistibly alluring sweets dancing to entice viewers, exploring a theme where sweetness guides workers, builds cities, and ultimately leads to their destruction. Centered on the concept of sweetness as an entryway to ruin, the work allegorically expresses human activities related to life processes, consumer society, and value economies.

Murata Minori is a visual artist based in London and Tokyo who employs ants as metaphors for humans. Her practice spans diverse methods including CG-based video, installation, performance, and social experiments. She is also involved with the climate change art collective Hype Free Water and has participated in solo exhibitions such as FRUITFUL LIFE and group shows like Currency of the Future.

Aromance visually articulates the seductive sweetness present in urban spaces alongside its underlying destructive aspects. Utilizing the three-dimensional qualities of the LED cube, the installation offered viewers a strong sense of immersion. By focusing on the allure of sweetness and its effects, the work invites reflection on complex relationships involving desire, consumption, and dependency in contemporary society.
